Right coalition?

Op 11 September, unfolds a bizarre spectacle at the statue of Pim Fortuyn in Rotterdam. There gathers a group of people for a demonstrative procession to the 11 commemorate September attacks in America. The organizing committee will especially remember the Dutch victims and expresses its concern about Muslim organizations in the Netherlands that would support terrorism.

The Committee Commemorate 11 September, a joint venture between some right to far-right organizations. The treasurer of the committee of the Young Rene Schmitt Fortuynisten, LPF youth as an organization have its name on the memorial. The group 'Friends of Pim Fortuyn’ joins the commemoration. They were especially known for their presence in all processes against Volkert van der G.. A third participating organization, the Foundation for the Promotion of Freedom of Expression. This is a men's club that focuses on expressing very right wing views on Internet forums. And the fledgling New Right Michiel Smit is the party. However, the most notable participant is the New National Party (NNP). An extreme- right party that is seen as the successor to the banned fascist party CP'86. That Fortuynisten now so openly enter into a collaboration with the radical right coalition is remarkable. Especially because party leader Mat Herben here has previously spoken out against. LPF summit clearly feel in control of the party and its supporters lost and right-wing forces are free to do what they want.

The practice
However, the final memorial is was even stranger than suspected. Under the watchful eye of the statue of Pim Fortuyn gathers a motley crew of several dozen Fortuynisten and right-wing extremists in the early evening 11 september in Rotterdam.
It Liveable Rotterdam divisional round of the New Right was represented by René van Gool, Antonia Viljac and natural Michiel Smit.

René van Gool

René van Gool was until recently a right-wing skinhead who are gay hate not put under a bushel (zie noot). Apparently he makes an exception for Michiel Smit. Van Gool comes from Kaatsheuvel and visited recently with the New Right Vlaams Blok. Antonia Viljac also went on this trip. She played in April 2002 a role in one of the first LPF hassles that made the press. With a friend she was sexually harassed at the office party. New Right leader Michiel Smit putting the final months of contacts with various right-wing sympathizers, Vlaams Blok through the fascist Swedish Sverigedemokraterna to the youth of the Italian Lega Nord. Also with the NNP he has contacts, while Smit still LPF member. With NNP- Chairman Florens van der Kooi founded Smit recently an action committee against a pedophile interest club.
On behalf of the Friends of Pim Fortuyn runs include Rinus van den Heerik note. He was active in the often unsalted against noise at the trials of Volkert van der G.. Van den Heerik is the treasurer of the Foundation Image of Pim and he was seen on Belgian television already in the company of VB figurehead Filip Winter. Rinus van den Heerik is an LPF street activist of the type 'do not talk but do'. He has promised to lynch Volkert as he released.

NNP'ers
Then there is a large delegation NNP members present. The NNP youth instance the board Virginia Kapic and Alex Neid. NNP president Florens van der Kooi is also present and veterans like Marcel Hoogstra, Peter van Egmond, Gerard de Wit and Jan Frederiks walk along. A selection of some high-profile activities of this group: Kapic was in the NCE and calls itself National Socialist. The Vlaams Blok is to her taste not anti-Semitic enough, because Kapic sticks her hatred of Jews not hide. Even with its e-mail address that starts with “against Jews” (against Jews) she refers to here. Alex Neid was for his NNP-period active in the Viking Youth and is now chairman of the NNJ (Nieuwe Nationale Jongeren). Marcel Hoogstra was for many years active in the CP'86 and councilor behalf in Spijkenisse. He was active in the Ku Klux Klan and secure right-wing meetings against disturbances. Peter van Egmond is originally from the CD and when he fell once an anti-Semitic statement made on the Yser Pilgrimage in Flanders. A journalist from the Green Amsterdam then scored his views on why the extreme right is not doing so well in the Netherlands: “That's because all the Jews in the media. Think about it: Sonja Barends, Mart Smeets, Loretta Writers, Barend and Van Dorp, Ralph inba. All Jews! And then I will mention only a few of. De joden gebruiken de media om het hele Nederlandse volk dom te houden en kapot te maken, zodat zij aan de touwtjes kunnen blijven trekken.”. Van Egmond is now a board member of the New York branch of the NNP.

Peter van Egmond

An internet activist NNP expressed anti-Semitism within the party a few years ago as follows: “This does not mean that within the party quite a number of people who say are critical of Jews. It mainly concerns the people a little more to the 'right’ standing within the party. However, they are a minority and realize well that raising the issue of Jewish issues in their eyes the party more harm than good.”

Another participant in the 11 September commemoration Ben van der Kooi. He is a key figure in recent years between the Fortuyn movement and the extreme right. He belongs to the group Friends of Pim Fortuyn and was therefore very active in all processes Volkert. He sometimes appeared in a t-shirt of the Vlaams Blok in court, but that was no great problem. In addition, Ben van der Kooi was active in the NNP where his brother was president of.

Rens Kaaijk

Rens also Kaaijk from Zoetermeer, a tall twenties who has been involved in both Stormfront Netherlands as the NCE, runs along the NNP'ers. Begin 2002 is a group NVU'ers where he is part of it, Leiden an immigrant to. However, the criminal matter against Rens Kaaijk is dismissed. On the 11 September commemoration he is member of the security service. Finally present around the image of Fortuyn we can still call Marcel Riethoff, a radical skinhead who especially during the period 1995-1997 was very active in the CP'86.

JDL
As icing on the cake is the gathering place for the 11 September commemoration protected by a group of tough men of the Jewish Defence League (JDL). Michiel Smit sees this radical Jewish organization an allied against Muslims. Apparently the New Right has enlisted their help to guard against political opponents. This resulted in the absurd situation that Philip Awuy in camouflage trousers to protect a group of right-wing extremists state with its Dutch branch of the JDL. With several of them fascists that anti-Semitism have left in the past. Add that to a coalition between Fortuynisten and the NNP framework and this commemoration scores high in one of the most bizarre demonstrations of recent years.

Later NNP Secretary Paul Peters states on an Internet forum yet that his party was not so happy with arrival of the JDL: “The commemoration was organized by a group of citizens from Rotterdam. The invited the NNP out. NNP is then responsible if there is a group of Jews rises days?” Peters was in april 2001 co-responsible for the destruction of a Jewish cemetery in Oosterhout with slogans like "Jude Raus". He was given one month in prison. Nevertheless, the party maintains him as a national secretary. Apparently all this is for the Young Fortuynisten, the group 'Friends of Pim Fortuyn’ and a number of individual Fortuynisten no obstacle to conduct political activities with the NNP. Also they are not stopped by the LPF board.

Noot:
Eind 2000 there was a short time a site in the air under the name “Skinheads Against Gay Skins (SHAGS)”. This site was directed against gay skinheads and the webmaster expresses his intentions as follows: “wees slim en kill all gay(skins)HI!HI!HI!!!”. René van Gool leave messages in the guestbook. He opposes especially against copying the skinhead look by gay men. He boasts that he has beaten a gayskin together:
