The handling of the extreme right with the Internet is not of today or yesterday. Mid nineties, when the Internet was slowly accessible to a wide audience, were in different countries right-wing extremists active on the Internet. What they had exactly it was not yet clear, but it was new, hip and seemed a handy medium to spread their message. This was especially true in countries where the message was not popular and was often pressured by legislation and a hostile climate. That was certainly true for Netherlands.
One of the people who had been active in that period on the Internet was CP'86 board member Tim Mudde. He brought along with another activist CP'86, Michel Hubert, a first web site of the CP'86 in the air.

The years and it would then build (a toe) tracking websites remain the main activity on the Internet from many far-right organizations. That changed around the Millennium change. Then create a new medium in the United States for extreme right-wing activists: het Stormfront-forum. Rond 2000 a Dutch department at this forum was active. From that moment the Internet was used in an interactive way. Again Mudde was one of the first to be active in that forum.
Sinds 2000 the Internet has greatly changed. Different applications have the potential interactivity made many times: users behind the computer are less and less "user" and increasingly become an active participant in the Internet. Of Weblogs, Comment pages on newspaper sites, profielensites (Hyves, Facebook) in videosites (Youtube) up to own radio- en tv-stations aan toe. This development is called Web 2.0 genoemd. For many organizations,, institutions and companies is a difficult quest how to use these new opportunities to bring their message or products to the attention.

Outpost 2.0?
That applies, it will now not very surprising, not for Tim Mudde and the circles around him. Mudde After his time at the CP'86 been active for some time in Outpost Netherlands. After a big fight he got late nineties. Since then, he has more or less gone his own way in the extreme right scene. In many ways he has in the past decade trying to make its contribution. He was active for example in the world of music, including as leader of Brigade M and some other bands, but also by releasing CDs. Furthermore, he organized all kinds of activities and campaigns and started example, a right-wing extremist animal rights organization 'With the Animals Against the Beasts'. His independent course, combined with a sharp ideological line (He calls himself 'national-anarchist') and a big mouth, him in the extreme right scene a group of passionate friends and bitter enemies delivered. But with his friends (of ‘kameraden’ en ‘kameraadskes’), he always manages to develop an impressive range of initiatives. In recent years these friends found mainly in circles of Outpost.
This circle of friends is not only on the streets and in concert halls too much on the internet active. Mudde still appears to have a good nose for all the opportunities that the internet offers. For example, one of his initiatives is an extreme right-wing web store, 'Fenrir Post Order', where we already attention have spent.
Radio Rapaille
A more recent initiative is "Radio Rapaille ', An Internet radio station that now the whole week, 24 hour, broadcasting. Again, it goes back to an initiative that Mudde is the basis.

But as with any other Internet initiatives it is, however dependent on others, Technical Support. In that respect he is a self-declared null. That lack of technical knowledge is however compensated for years by people from his circle of comrades. In the case of Radio Rapaille involves close collaboration with Stefan Heijnen. Heijnen was a founder of the website 'Holland Hardcore', a gathering place for ravers with extreme right-wing ideas. Through this website Heijnen become closely involved in the extreme right scene. After some wandering meantime he ended up with Outpost and the friends of Mudde.
Start
In oktober 2007 Mudde Heijnen and started an Internet radio station. It was at that moment a weekly broadcast of two hours, presented by Mudde, alias ‘DJ Hadjememaar’. (1) In a short time formed a circle of active people around them:

Besides Mudde and Heijnen (‘DJ Volksheiden’) the inevitable René van Gool delivers almost from the beginning a column. Van Gool comes from skinhead groups and some time spent with the New Right. Van Gool is especially notable for his blind hatred of all that he sees as a political enemy. This attitude makes Radio Rapaille a weekly serving of abuse against left, Muslims and squatters, often unintelligible, but in any case inimitable. Also for Post-activist Florens van der Kooi delivers in the beginning regularly contribute. Van der Kooi is from the NNP, and after the disappearance of that party was a time of image. Some time ago he became active in Outpost and there has become action leader.
This small circle does his best, but may initially fill two hours per week. The contents of the program is at the beginning, therefore, for the most part from music. There are also weekly a few fixed parts (a competition and a calendar of upcoming actions, meetings and concerts) listen. There are occasional interviews and action reports.
Mudde but would not be if he Mudde the bar not much would have to be higher. There is already looked quickly across the border. From Flanders itself serves as 2008 correspondent Thierry Roy, who regularly contribute and provide interviews on the extreme right in Flanders. This international orientation does not fall from the sky, but fit into the goals of Mudde and consorts. There seem both ideological and practical reasons for.

To start with the last: A practical reason lies in the fact that Radio Rapaille focuses explicitly on the Dutch language, so including Flanders. From the beginning Rapaille Radio devoted considerable attention to campaigns and political affairs in Flanders. It is therefore only logical to expand the team with Flemish radio staff. Moreover, it provides simply more employees, So more options. Another practical consideration is that there were already similar stations abroad. Mudde and his associates initially joined in with the fascist Italian radio station Radio Black Flag ("Radio the black flag '), where they could broadcast two hours per week.
Maar er is (the second reason) also a clear ideological reason for the international orientation. In circles around Voorpost and Mudde is no one defined ideology. Mudde's national-anarchism ', the 'nation nationalism "of Outpost and' Solidarism 'by many Flemings may differ materially. But it also still shares many ideas: the pursuit of a white Dutch society, the merger of The Netherlands and Flanders 'Dietsland' and the idea that there should be sought a 'solid unitarian' society. In a solid unitarian society, there is a civil society organization, where everyone according to his innate abilities plays a regular role, causing a thriving, would create homogeneous and harmonious national community. This anti-egalitarian and anti-democratic ideology intervenes sharply on Italian fascism. This orientation lie in Flanders, but also in Italy for the hand. The Italian approach however does not come out of thin air. The modern Italian fascist movement has many aspects that the group around Tim Mudde greatly interests. The combination of a fascist ideology based on anarchist and activist elements, focused around various forms of youth culture fit in seamlessly with the ideas of Mudde. Moreover, and it obviously works very inspiring, The Italian movement much bigger and more successful. Thus, there exists a network of fascist squats, where are developed all kinds of political and cultural initiatives. Radio Black Flag is part of this network.
This interest in Italy can also be clearly heard in the various programs of Radio Rapaille. Programma’s? Ja, want in 2008 Radio Rapaille continues to develop. There get more people involved, there themed broadcasts and there will be live broadcasts organized. Initially, all this is done from the Rapaille studio (house Mudde), but in the spring for the first time a live broadcast care of from a far-right rally in Antwerp.

These rapid developments ensure that from 2009 Multiple programs are in place. Heijnen as Stefan started his own program "People Heiden running through", filled with gabber music and news on the extreme right movement. also the webmaster of the website starts Rapaille, Thomas Wentzel (“Dj Grensverlegger”), own program "One Community". That program is especially pay attention to the history of European peoples and states.
In addition to these new programs, mainly to complete the hobbies of the two DJs appear, also further shape the international dimension. A Programme, "Italy Present" van de Woerdenaar Angelo Quinti (“DJ Angelo”), even devoted entirely to the extreme right in Italy. Then there are the programs' RAC Mediterranean "and" Slava Evropa " (by brothers Jesse and Jasper Dolman, and "DJ Sjac Sjirac" and "DJ JD"). These programs pay particular attention to far-right music in South- and Eastern European countries.

In Flanders occurs around Thierry Roy (“DJ Geass”) a core group of programmers. This core is mainly from the circle of the Flemish New Solidaris Tisch Alternative (N-SA). This is a newly created organization which agrees well in the radical and activist politics. N-SA dissociates itself from noisy old, civic organizations like the Vlaams Belang. Roy and his friend Ruben Rosiers ("DJ Malinwa") their programs mostly fill with news of the Flemish movement, Italy and sport.
Finally, there is a Flemish-Dutch co-production "Broadcasting Odal" that is made by extreme right Gentiles Workgroup Hagal. There is at least the Dutchman Nick Krekelbergh (“DJ Radbod”) involved in.
Thus Radio Rapaille delivers an offer that should appeal to a wide audience extreme right: activists, Members of friendly organizations, but also people from youth styles that are often successfully recruited souls: gabbers and metalheads example.
All these programs, and even some that are not mentioned, are complemented by music and reps. Thus is ensured a programming 24 hour, 7 dagen in de lucht is.
All this of course can not take place within the framework of 'Radio Bandiera Nera ", where Rapaille the first year uitzondt. So from 2009 is broadcast from their own computers.
And what are we talking about? Is there a case of a serious influential propaganda channel or is it more a digital village horn? If we look at the figures are no longer to be the last. The number of listeners, which was until recently listed on the website, is rarely above ten persons from. Moreover, the reactions to the broadcasts that usually only here usual suspects goes: people who are active in circles Mudde or at Outpost. There is thus, it seems, especially preached to the converted.
Indirectly, however, it is a different story. Mudde is ideologically long been a stranger in our midst, despite his extensive network in far-right circles. His "anarchistic" ideas, are actively promoted vegetarianism and abstinence and often some left-wing themes mainly earned him incomprehension. He is never afraid to kick, arguing. (2)
Nowadays seem to be winning the themes and ideas Mudde terrain in the extreme right scene, with particular Voorpost activists are affected in Netherlands. In Flanders find the ideas above entrance via the N-SA-circles. (3) What spreading those ideas concerning Radio Rapaille certainly plays a role. But that remains mostly within their own village.
Noten
1 - The names' Rapaille 'and' Hadjememaar "refer to the Amsterdam anarchist Rapaille Party and the leader of that party, A man with the nickname "Hadjememaar '. Hadjememaar was elected to the city council, but never took his seat in, because he was in jail for public drunkenness.
2 - A long-running feud between Mudde and Constant Kusters example, regular public fought. This was done initially through Stormfront, Nowadays there both use their own channels. Kusters published an abusive article about Mudde in the party magazine and on the NCE website. Mudde make during broadcasts of radio Rapaille Kusters ridiculous with some regularity. Especially the benefit pulling Kusters must pay for it at that.
3 - People around N-SA incidentally not take all ideas. Thus the circle Mudde lately very strongly in the proposition that neo-Nazis should be excluded from the movement. That one is at N-SA much less convinced, since belonging to the own (potential) supporters are counted.
