Saturday night 17 maart 2007 doing a SWAT team in Spijkenisse a remarkable weapon find in a house. Firearms, ammunition, bulletproof vests, a machine gun and several nail bombs. That the occupant of the dwelling, Nazi skinhead Arris de Bruin, has a penchant for guns is not a big surprise. It is remarkable that someone with such a violent profile is so stupid to keep such a cargo of weapons at home.
Arris de Bruin (1981) sticks in autumn 1998, op 17 age, first its head above the parapet. He does this in a way that directly clearly renders his profile: He was arrested along with a number of right-wing extremist youths because the scruff of the neck of Nazi slogans in a metro station. The group is there - armed – to wait on another group of young people, with whom she has had a fight earlier. The police intervene and arrest the group, including Arris.
After this first public collision some time we hear nothing from him, until he 2002 is really active for the Dutch People's Union. In January 2002 he visited for the first time an NVU demonstration in Rotterdam. He immediately notices that he has hung his clothes full of Nazi symbols, including a swastika. Moreover, this applies not only for his clothes, also his body is covered with extremist tattoos, such a large swastika on his back with the slogan "Made by Adolf". After this demonstration Arris de Bruin brings some protesters away in a van from his job (#1). In Leiden, the group is still equally to the center. Along the way they mistreat a foreigner. The police are quick and arrest the group, Arris but will not be prosecuted further this cause.
After this he was at virtually every demonstration of NCE active with a group of Rotterdam Nazi skins (including other known perpetrators as Ed Polman and Robin van Opstal).
The assassination of Pim Fortuyn in May 2002 makes to Arris and his mates a big impression. During the elections, a few days after the murder, Arris hangs a banner out of his window with Nazi call "Erwache", which leads to a police raid wherein a swastika flag is found. Weather runs three days later De Bruin along with NVU demonstration at the residence of Fortuyn's killer, this time decked with NSB opnaaier on his coat.
In this period, the group around the Arris Brown and Ed Polman moreover emphatically by the government into the picture because of an AIVD tip. The tip about plans to carry out attacks on leftist politicians. A number of arrests is performed within the group, but ultimately does not lead to a criminal.
In 2003 De Bruin is again arrested for assault. His house he runs along with some friends a foreigner bump. Exactly one year later he, along with Ed Polman and Robin van Opstal, again involved in a racist abuse. In the German town of Selm they walk two foreigners bump. This dissatisfaction is expressed in a kind of half-split. The radicals, including Arris, Blood types & Honour/Racial Volunteer Force (B&H / RVF), but continue to walk with NVU demonstrations. From that time the group around Arris de Bruin will form the stewards during these demonstrations. And they do so to the present day.
Briefly Arris de Bruin is at first sight a neo-nazi hooligan, who bandied random immigrants mistreats. That picture also emerges clearly in the process because of the mistreatment in Selm. Since one of the suspects appears to have told the police that the good use of the group around De Bruin is to organize "nigger hunts", whereby random colored victims are abused. At the same time De Bruin's activities have also a more structured character. They are consistently present and order service forms at NVU demonstrations shows this. The activities of the group around De Bruin after Fortuyn's murder, Where possible attacks were prepared, and the current weapon finding illustrate that reminds more serious violence- if not terror threat.
