In the weekend of 21 May Outpost has kept most Pentecostal Camp failed in its history. Was the board of Outpost Netherlands itself intends to highlight here 1999 to make, antifascists thought otherwise and managed to ruin a thing or thoroughly.
Two years ago, the Outpost Pentecostal camp was first organized in Netherlands. Marcel Rüter and Tim Mudde had taken over the management of outpost for several months of the old guard. For Post hired a terreintje off in the Limburg Evertsoord and entertained for three days with sport, singing, drank en barbecue. There were about sixty people from Netherlands, Belgium and Germany present and everything ran smoothly.
The past year such a camp took place in the vicinity of Ronse in the Ardennes. After this camp Voorpost Netherlands announced that the twentieth camp again would be organized in the Netherlands and thus it happened. Nothing was left to chance: “That will be an unforgettable camp. The comrades from the Netherlands, Germany and Flanders invited attended in the past twenty years, one or more Pentecostal Kampen.”
In July last year, the Anti-Fascist Action began (AFA) Meanwhile, with its campaign against Voorpost and organized in Delft a demonstration against the proposed William of Orange-memorial. The demonstration was a success: Outpost week to Geertruidenberg. Outpost himself said that “they are very satisfied with the attention of the press and hopes that AFA and others the following meetings would also surrounded with the necessary noise, this saves several thousand dollars of propaganda material.”
In October last year by Jan Slootweg (electrician, former CP'86 member and the fixed buddy action leader Tim Mudde) a camping farm rented in the Frisian Veenwouden for a family reunion. This site had the Pentecostal Camp 1999 taking place. Slootweg hired 1994 even though the roadhouse Angel in Lisse, where CP'86 wanted to hold its annual party congress. Also here, antifascists behind the location and set a stop to the meeting.
Invitations were then sent to comrades in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and it was hoped that it would be one big party. “There is something for everyone, sport, vorming, culture, singing, fry, comradeship evenings etc.. Enter quickly attached form and send it immediately on to one of the two mailboxes. You will receive the address and directions to the Pentecostal camp. There leftmost lot interest in this 20th Pentecostal Camp we ask to keep the utmost discretion about where the Pentecostal camp continues” thus Voorpost Netherlands.

AFA, however, had other plans. They did not disturb the Pentecostal Camp, but ensure that the pacesetters of the camp had to stay at home. Therefore were announced at several demonstrations for Posters at the door. Both Voorpost founder Frie Verbrugge Hoeven as the current Chairman Marcel Rüter would be honored with a visit. Furthermore, it was also decided to keep at home anti-antifa by going along with the homes of Marcel Hoogstra and Marc de Boer, which are both active in this corner.
The choice of these people woke at Outpost much suspicion that one hit collective tilt: in several cities where famous for live Posters, but where AFA further along had no plans, they went to the police to ask for protection. Even supporters were mobilized to protect homes. Marcel Rüter gave himself and his neighbors most nuisance. He not only went to the police, but also spread around a pamphlet. Ruter: “AFA gives her intolerant and violent attitude and mode of action, such as terminology and its current “Destroy Outpost” tour clearly shows, clearly demonstrate expression of an extremely “red” form of fascism. Burglaries, violence, threats and intimidation from AFA circles in the recent past make it irrefutably clear. So the pot calling the kettle black.” However Hilversum banned the demonstration of his house and turned off the street.
Post-founder Frie Verbrugge tried to prevent the demonstration yet to register by email at AFA: “You antifascist research – and investigation could have long to figure out that I since 1996 no longer Voorpost activities bezondig. No wonder, because with my 54 springs I will not exactly inspiring about the present Voorpost pants!” Frie Verbrugge is not stitched in his first lie and was also the last years of loyal visitor Outpost activities. Moreover, the organization of the General Secretariat makes the day using a mailbox with him around the corner. The action would therefore simply continue.
The couple remained so but Verbrugge home: “They were planning with pamphlets and chanting texts to designate us as fascist nearby”, says Ms. Verbrugge. They deny their ties with Voorpost not ('No longer a member but still visit meetings'), but find that it is a cultural and proper organization. “We are committed to the self-determination of all peoples. Whether it Flemings, Scots, Kosovars or go Dutch. Every nation has a right to his own state.” Irene Verbrugge: “AFA pretends we are people that asylum seekers would stabbing on fire… No, as a volunteer, I would not go to work. But there are becoming too many asylum seekers, that find the whole street. Why are you still not a fascist. And those meetings are just fun. With barbecue and lots of singing.”
Also Marcel Hoogstra did his best to prohibit the action by fax to the Spijkenisse: “Op 22 May U.S.. a motley collection of extreme leftist Autonomen, – anarchists s -krakers, united in the umbrella organization AFA, announced to hold a demonstrative procession and directory operations in the vicinity of my house in the neighborhood Waterland Spijkenisse. I find it highly inappropriate internal peace- and public order in a residential area, because of their political ideas, disrupt let. This execute given their 'way of action’ and 'its appearance’ which certainly emotional reactions in children and neighbors will call.” He had some success with it, because the church forbade the demonstration for his house and pointed to a nearby mall.
Furthermore, several other names for Posters, including Marc de Boer, Tim Mudde and Robert Schaap precautions. This action was in advance already a success. There was not expecting much Voorpost framework would react so panicky and would refrain from visiting the camp.
On Friday, however, gathered still necessary fascists Veenwouden. However, it was especially Belgian Voorpost members who made the trip to Friesland. Ultimate joined them a few dozen for Posters at the camping farm. The next day, leaving the majority of the participants for wading when a van for Posters (probably by accident) drove forward the column buses. They warned the attendees last, who went headlong into their cars off. The owner of the camping farm and the deputy mayor of the village did not know who they had in the house and put themselves behind the goal of the action: the contract was terminated and the deputy mayor announced a ban on the Pentecostal Camp off.
Shortly after the action for Post issued a furious press release from. Some quotes: “Today, Saturday 22 May 1999, Netherlands was marked by intolerance, intimidation, threat, restraint and a waste of money. (…) The way the AFA has enforced this attention makes it a contemporary form of 'red’ fascism, as we learn this now know of the Serbs in Yugoslavia. Because here women and children were threatened and chased out of their residence by a superior force of so-called anti-fascists of the AFA. (…) This weekend has made clear in any case that the ordinary citizen will not be intimidated and let affect her privacy and in many places on the endangered person has actually assisted.”
Two days later Outpost distributed a new press release that stated the camp was continued elsewhere: “there was laughter again hard and took a pint on those stupid leftist thugs who first stood before an empty location and had also ignored our alternative location.”
Or Outpost has moved to another location really is deeply doubtful. The first press release is especially the anger and disappointment forward. Moreover, all prominent for Posters were the evening after the action at home. An internal Voorpost sheet also gave a slightly different, less jubilant, view of the matter: “A 150 crackers, anarchisten, and other <<democratic>> rig from Germany and the Netherlands disrupted our 20th Pentecostal Camp in Friesland.”

And also the members of the NNP leaf leaves little throughout the Outpost by outward brought jubilation. Under the heading “Red Fascists beset Outpost” writes the magazine: “During the Pentecost weekend, a group of about. 150 extreme left-wing autonomists disrupted the Pentecostal camp outpost in the Frisian Veenwouden. For some time it was called within leftist circles to the 'fascist’ Outpost thwart that could prepare these appropriate measures. When it became clear that a gang of leftist autonomists, known for its violent actions, near the Pentecostal camp Outpost was decided for safety reasons to evacuate all participants, including a number of women, children, babies and the elderly. The meeting is later pursued an alternative place so that the malicious intent of the AFA fortunately only partially been successful.” All in all, it can be concluded that the action of AFA has been very successful and that Outpost back quite a bit further in its isolation is gedouwd.
