The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights is ruling in a case of a Moroccan man living in January 2016 was rejected when applying for a job at in Uden. The company doubted whether he could legally work for them with his residence permit and started an investigation. The man has a dependent residence permit that says “stay with wife“, but also “work freely allowed“. Still, investigations against the company were ongoing due to previous cases involving these residence permits. For this reason, the Institute states that there was an indirect distinction based on nationality, but that this was justified. The note “work freely allowed” the company apparently does not provide sufficient guarantees that it will be handled in this way.
A man shoots Uden with a heavy air rifle on some immigrant boys who are playing football on a sports field. He hits one of the boys in the leg. During the criminal trial in the spring of 2018 the Public Prosecutor states that the man allegedly acted for racist motives. A forbidden knife and ammunition are also found with the man.
In Uden the municipality has organized a debate about the arrival of an asylum seekers center. The North Brabant PVV-Staten Joyce Kardol calls the debate a great farce. Due to the structure of the meeting, it would be up to ‘fake participation‘ leiden. According to Kardol and her colleague Alexander van Hattem the residents were informed too late. De PVV sees nothing in the reception of asylum seekers and would prefer to close the borders.

End of September, along a road between Eindhoven en Uden posters Zwart Front with the text “Netherlands Awake!” posted on a bunker. Between the posters hanging a large banner with the text “Eigen Volk Eerst”.
Zwart Front put a photo on Facebook of a banner and a Zwart Front poster in a store Uden are suspended. It is a protest against the abolition of Zwarte Piet.
This weekend at two sites in North Brabant, in Uden en Budel, commemoration of Operation Market Garden in World War II changed or canceled. The plan to act in German army clothing ditto symbols, yielded protests outside the church. The police advised negatively on plans, also fear the arrival of right-wing extremists.
