The Board for the Protection of Human Rights states that an employment agency Ridderkerk in may 2013 Muslim discriminated against by refusing him because of his long beard for a job at a cheese packing company. According to the agency his beard was too long to meet the hygiene requirements. The man, however, came shortly afterwards by another agency or to work at the company, and when his beard appeared to be a problem.
