The Court Lelystad condemns Paul Groeneveld from Amsterdam up to four weeks' imprisonment, two weeks, of which conditionally. Groeneveld submitted maart 2015 emails with anti-Semitic content to schools in Lelystad en Urk. It called for denial of the persecution of the Jews and the Holocaust. At an earlier hearing for this case on 22 juni 2016 Groeneveld brought himself to court Lelystad guilty of group insult again. He is acquitted for sending the emails because it is said to be part of the public debate. He does get punished for the statements at the June hearing when he denied the gas chambers and scorned about “poor joodjes” spoke. The appeal is due in September 2017.
