Voorpost organized William of Orange commemoration in The Hague for the second time

On Wednesday 24 In April, Voorpost held a commemoration in honor of William of Orange in The Hague together with the Geuzenbond. Representatives of the Belgian Shield and Friends and the NSV were also present on the forecourt of Noordeinde Palace. There were speeches by Front Posters Esly van den Eijnde and Florens van der Kooi, “Jan” of the Geuzenbond and Guillaume Priem of Schild en Vrienden. Diane van Bekkum also recited a poem.

The wreath laying ceremony consisted of a wreath with the Voorpost logo on it. After the ceremony, those present took the wreath back with them.
The number of attendees was low and consisted of acquaintances from Voorpost, the Geuzenbond, the NSV and neo-Nazis such as Peter van Vliet (Seen here with SS Totenkopf shirt on his own Facebook page).
Outpost spoke – despite minimal interest from the usual visitors – of a successful second commemoration and plans to make this an annual event. The large police force present that had to protect the extreme right against the counter-demo indicated that this commemoration is seen as problematic.

Media

The presence of right-wing and extreme right-wing media such as PowNed was striking, “YouTube star” Bender and photographer Bob van Keulen. All try to frame the meeting as a regular activity to commemorate William of Orange, without mentioning the presence of the NSB prince's flag and the runes on the Outpost flag and the flower arrangement. Reporting on social media also failed to account for the far-right organizations that set up this commemoration. This attempts to normalize the extreme right-wing nationalism of the organizations involved under the banner of William of Orange..

Outpost in the country

Voorpost has also recently adjusted its structure. In this way the old circles have been merged into the following new circles: North-East circle (Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel), roundabout Midland (Utrecht and Gelderland), circle Holland (North Holland, South Holland and Flevoland) and circle South (Zealand, North Brabant and Limburg).
