A vote in the House of Representatives on a motion by the PVV’ers Leon de Jong, Sietse Fritsma en Geert Wilders about an immigration ban from Muslim countries. The MPs Theo Hiddema en Thierry Baudet van Forum voor Democratie vote against the motion because they find it contrary to Dutch values and norms. With the motion, Christians would also, gays and yazidis who come from muslim countries are banned. Forum voor Democratie would prefer an Australian immigration model, whereby the Netherlands itself determines which migrants receive a residence permit. De PVV-motion is rejected.
In the House of Representatives, the parliamentarians serve Geert Wilders, Sietse Fritsma en Leon de Jong a motion to amend the Foreign Nationals Employment Act and the Aliens Act. The PVV-trio calls on the government “to stop immigration from Islamic countries“.
Parliamentary questions by PVV-MP Leon de Jong: “How big is the negative wage development for Dutch employees in relation to the influx of Eastern European workers? How many Dutch people have since the opening of the labor market for Romanians, Bulgarians and Poles lost their jobs?“. He asked what the minister is going to do about displacement in the labor market. “Are you willing to finally stand up for our own Dutch employees?, to stop exchanging Dutch workers for cheap Eastern European workers and therefore reintroduce a work permit for workers from Eastern Europe to protect our labor market?“.
