Newspapers report a request from CIDI to call off the auction of three paintings with Nazi portraits. That auction is scheduled for mid-October at an auction house Enschede. It concerns portraits of Adolf Hitler en Heinrich Himmler painted by the fanatical Nazis SS'is Wolfgang Willrich. Two Hitler figurines are also auctioned. The Nazi ideology is dripping with paintings. In addition, Willrich played a prominent role in the removal of Jewish art from German museums. The director of the auction house defends himself by stating that museums also include portraits of Stalin, Lenin and Mao showcase. He does not want to say who is the principal of the auction. The auction house will not let the sale go through.
