The union FNV explains Utrecht rejects an applicant because there are articles on the internet, stating that it expresses support for Syrian and Palestinian terrorists. The woman is an anti-racist activist, but it is associated by opponents with anti-Semitism, jihadism and Muslim extremism. She herself says she's pro-Palestinian, anti-racist and anti-imperialist. She had liked a number of jihadist accounts in order to follow them, not because she supports those ideas. She feels discriminated against based on political beliefs and files a discrimination complaint with the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights. That pronounces in May 2017.
