Geert Wilders states with Machiel de Graaf Parliamentary questions on behalf of the PVV a mosque in Geleen, where there have been raids on suspicion of money laundering. The mosque was also in the news for a Salafi takeover and alleged support for armed jihad. De PVVPeople ask whether the takeover of power by Salafist vanguards in more and more mosques is a threat to democracy and the rule of law. They also want to know whether the minister wants to have the mosque closed.

In the night of Thursday 19 on Friday 20 In January there was destruction at the fishing ponds of a fishing association in Geleen. Poles have been pulled out of the ground and bins thrown onto the frozen pond. The clubhouse is almost completely plastered with obscene texts and a swastika.

In Geleen demonstrate for- and opponents of Zwarte Piet at the entry of Sinterklaas. The pro-Zwarte Piet protest was organized by a man from Brunssum, who is not looking for a confrontation. On social media, someone threatens the anti-Zwarte Piet protesters with an automatic rifle.

Last night unknowns have a pig's head attached to the gate of the new site where a mosque Geleen will be moving around. The head is associated with a piece of iron wire to the gate. On site is found a second pig's head.

Today, there appears a picture on Facebook with a plakactie NVU-posters in Sittard-Geleen. They have the Nazi slogan “For Folk and Fatherland "and use the modern cry: "Stop the multicultural terror”.
