the councilor Hans van Wegen of the Burger Partij Amersfoort asks questions to B&W about the arrival of an AZC to Amersfoort. He says that citizens are insufficiently informed about a meeting and thinks that the buildings around the AZC will decrease in value. He expresses his concerns about the safety of Christians, LHBT’ers, atheists and unveiled women. After this, the local party is accused of demonizing refugees and expressing xenophobia. This is thought to be mainly due to fraction assistant Ralph Langendam komt, who helped formulate the questions. The questions are suggestive and xenophobic. They write about the spread of infectious diseases and terrorist infiltrators, high benefits and the ratio between immigrants and natives.
