The Board for the Protection of Human Rights pronounces on two complaints of an Armenian man. In an unfamiliar place, he was in september 2015 by an agency (to a head office in Apeldoorn) turned down for a job as a Customer Service Representative AA (their headquarters is in Den Haag) because he does not speak Dutch accent. The complaint against the ANWB is rejected because it is not shown that the ANWB has made a discriminatory requirement. They have indicated to the agency employees the Dutch language correctly and well understood speak. The agency has misinterpreted this and “accentloos Nederlands” made. This is the agency guilty of making unlawful discrimination on grounds of race.
