A rural bank headquartered in Amsterdam today announced a holder of an investment account that they will terminate the account for three months because he is an American citizen. The USA has recently introduced strict laws forbidding its citizens to deal with financial institutions that are not registered as a broker in the USA. The Dutch bank is not registered and therefore risking a heavy fine. The American man is a discrimination complaint with the Board for the Protection of Human Rights.
