Martin Bosma of the PVV tabled a motion in Parliament during the Legislative Consultation. He wants the government to cut all ties with public broadcasting as long as the current chairman is in office there. He gives the reason for this: “In particular propaganda for the pseudo-refugees, the hatred of it Donald Trump, the condescending way in which Islam critics have been put away for decades, continued political correctness, producing propaganda for Islam, shamelessly squander the Netherlands 1 to the socialist VARA, the broadcaster of the splinter party Labor Party, negotiating with Minister Asscher about the content of the Sinterklaas news, as well as the attack on our cherished and negotiable Black Piet tradition“.
