A Brazilian man is standing in court Amsterdam because he May 2016 in Amsterdam walked into a Jewish catering business and stabbed a woman with a knife. The man has psychiatric problems. He is sentenced to a year of compulsory admission to a psychiatric hospital and to pay hefty compensation. The victim criticizes the Dutch legal system, she finds it shocking that an anti-Semitic motive has not been examined. She explains: “It is still not clear why the man went into two kosher restaurants that night“. She also believes that the judiciary does not see the seriousness of the incident. She emphasizes that she could have been dead if the knife had hit her slightly differently.
