A national newspaper published an interview with a famous Afro-Dutch activist dedicated to the abolition of Zwarte Piet figure at Sinterklaas. He says in the interview that he is still under threat. In recent days he also received emails with texts “black moron” en “go to Africa and get AIDS”. He receives anonymous letters stating that people go hunting with his head put a bullet. Or they're going to cut his throat. Within a year he received in his own words 770 insults and threats. Police in Amsterdam would not protect him.
