Court ruling in Den Haag in the case of seventy coffeeshops against the introduction of the weed pass in Limburg, Noord-Brabant and Zeeland by 1 May 2012. A major drawback to the coffee shops increase is that foreigners will be discriminated against because they are no more welcome. However, according to the court the exclusion of foreigners is not contrary to the prohibition of discrimination. The residence criterion would not be contrary to the discrimination.
