The Board for the Protection of Human Rights shall decide on a complaint of a Romanian man who augustus 2015 was refused by a homeowner as a tenant of a house in Deventer, because he does not speak Dutch. The conciliation was then out through a broker Deventer done. Which then brought about the rejection and ended the mediation. The Board states that the agency has a responsibility to abide by the standards of equality legislation. The broker has a duty to make efforts for the man. That has not been the broker, but he defends himself by arguing that he is not responsible for the difference. The Board states that it has made indirect discrimination on grounds of race by the Romanian man no longer mediate a particular rental property.
