An African American lawyer from the International Court of Justice in Den Haag puts in Den Haag diagonally across a street, ignoring a red traffic light. Two police officers approach her, but she ignores them. The officers then come after her and want to see her passport. She says she will not get a chance to show it and is harshly arrested. There is also a struggle in the police car. At the station she is told that she has kicked and hit the officers, which is wrong according to her. The woman thinks she was arrested because of her skin color. According to the police, the charge is violence and racism “completely unheard of“. CCTV footage shows that the arrest is proceeding peacefully and that the woman herself tries to run away and opposes the arrest. The police files a complaint against her for accusing the police of racism and violence. The woman's employer has a conversation with the police and this is interpreted as apologizing to the police and for the “false complaint about racist violence“. The police then dropped the complaint against the woman. However, the African-American lawyer herself says on the internet that she does not consider apologizing to the police herself.. She continues to accuse the police of racism and violence and files a complaint with the force. Because various media reports that she would have lied about racism, an online hate campaign against her is started. Texts like “nigger you should be hanged on a tree” en “fagot to your own banana republic, cancer whore“.
