The Board for the Protection of Human Rights is considering a complaint about a teacher Humanistic Education Teaching the end of September 2014 about Islam discussed in a class at a school in Hengelo. Muslim children felt attacked and had to defend their faith. They felt discriminated against by the teacher and the director already gave her a reprimand. The teacher was banned to discuss Islam with children. The director then suggested that the teacher did not intentionally racist intentions and he does not see her actions as discrimination on grounds of religion. The Board sees no evidence of discrimination. The teacher denies some negative comments about Islam and the parents can not demonstrate that they have made. This case is also a foundation of education Utrecht acquitted.
