A statement by the College of Human Rights about a complaint from a Polish man who is beginning november 2015 not allowed to rent a car from a car rental company in Amsterdam, because he only has a Polish driver's license. The car rental company has its headquarters in Hoorn. They only rent to people with a Dutch driving license, or a driver's license from one of nineteen named European countries. The Institute determines that there is no good reason for the distinction and that there is therefore discrimination based on nationality.
