In Utrecht a native woman visits a cafe with her Iranian friend for a cup of coffee. After a few minutes the café owner approaches them and removes the two from his shop. He says hereby: “We have said goodbye before“. The woman states that her boyfriend's Iranian origin is the reason for the deportation. She later asks for clarification in an email. Then the cafe owner says it was a mistake, but also that he can refuse guests who do not fit his target group. The woman sees it as discrimination: “The fact that I have a foreign friend, was the immediate reason for the merciless expulsion“. She sends a letter to the entire city council and mentions the behavior fascist. She also wants to file a complaint with an anti-discrimination agency. The cafe owner states that he swapped the couple with another woman he kicked out of his pub two months earlier and says it has nothing to do with discrimination.
