The College of Human Rights rules that a bank in Vlissingen prohibited discrimination on the grounds of race by in September 2012 refuse a bank account to a man from Nicaragua who does not speak Dutch or English. This man is married to a Dutch woman. The bank reasoned that he would not understand what agreement he was entering into. The College states that there was no good reason for the refusal.
