The national newspaper De Telegraaf from Amsterdam today has an article with the headline “Chance-less asylum plague continues unhindered“. It is about economic migrants from safe countries. There is concern about the terminology and De Telegraaf is criticized for appearing to equate asylum seekers with vermin. The newspaper has also used terms like “asielaso’s, asylum and invasion“. After this, a call for an advertising boycott to De Telegraaf circulated under the motto “Stop Xenophobic Telegraph”.
