The protest of a left-wing action group against attractions of the Efteling is in the news today. The group has sent a letter to the fairytale park in Kaatsheuvel asking to stop two racist attractions. They find stereotypes of cannibals and Bushmen hurtful. The way Asians are portrayed with slit eyes is also stereotyped. Efteling wants to talk to the activists. Thereafter responds Geert Wilders of the PVV boos: “They really have to stop“, “my favorite attraction is the dream flight with dwarfs and trolls. They will also immediately say that they are racist“. There are also many critical reactions on the social media page of the action group.
