At the town hall of Pekela in Oude Pekela there is a pro-asylum seeker demonstration early in the morning. Thirty people take action against the municipal decree 130 to send asylum seekers away after complaints about crime and incidents. The activists believe that the wrong people are being punished. There is a small group of opponents of the demonstration that occasionally have the slogan ‘AZC Taking Away‘ calls out, but it does not come to a confrontation.
