Extreme right-wing Foreign rebel fighters in the Syrian Civil War

The civil war in Syria is after four years of fighting just become miserable and hopeless. Two of the warring parties, the Islamic State (IS) Al-Nusra, thereby making use of foreign sympathizers in extremist Muslim circles. In the meantime the first Dutch right-wing extremist, the twenty-four Ritchie Kolvers from Nijmegen, traveled to Syria. To qualify as a sympathizer of the dictator Assad to attend a youth conference organized by the regime.

Ritchie Kolvers (1991) is the founder and leader of an equally wonderful as marginal extreme right club, Zwart Front. Kolvers began with Black Front in 2012 for his love for classic Italian fascism to give a political interpretation. He dipped his group called 'Black Front' as unambiguous reference to the pre-war fascist organization of Arnold Meijer. Kolvers know in the subsequent period, a small group of peers to gather around him whom he loves Black Front running.

The ambition of Black Front is in no relation to the actual strength. The active supporters of the club must be estimated at a maximum of ten young people. Simultaneously untouched Black Front in its publications revolutionary plans to form a fascist state in Netherlands. The club is decidedly anti-democratic ("a democratic system in which only weak compromises can be reached and the group dominated by the loudest voice and the biggest budget '), against personal liberty ("This selfishness, group behavior and represents the desire for undeserved freedom truly the roots of social divisions, economic crime, standard unemployment, social hardening and many other problems that plague our country '), a fascist social order ('Black Front is committed to an organic organization of social classes and the society in general') and is extremely nationalistic.

The bombastic rhetoric of the group state, as said, not exactly in proportion to the actual activities of the group. They are mainly active at night by putting up leaflets and banners on which views are shared by the organization. Furthermore close Black Front members themselves sometimes at demonstrations of others, including the PVV. Black Front itself organized a demonstration in 2013. The theme of the meeting was "against the plutocracy, banks dictatorship and oppression of the EU '. The demonstration attracted nine participants.

What Kolvers Ritchie has done in the past two years, establish contacts with like-minded people across the border, especially with the Belgian Ruben Rosiers (1986). Rosiers is similar in some sense Kolvers. Just as Black Front is an isolated club, Ruben Rosiers is also drove past on the basis of an extreme and dogmatic attitude isolated from the rest of the far-right movement in Flanders. And therefore looks Rosiers across the border. Especially to Italy, where for several years he has very good contacts with the fascist initiative Casapound. There Rosiers did also his inspiration to look further, to the Syrian dictator Assad. Rosiers was actively committed to the solidarity movement with Assad in the Netherlands and Belgium. He visited Syria and even had a relationship with a woman from that region. And through Rosiers became Kolvers and Black Front also involved in Syria. They expressed their solidarity with Assad also, among others by attending demonstrations of Syrians in Netherlands.

extreme right syrie goersWhere Solidarity with Syria just based on not one, two, three clear. But with some attempts at interpreting the pieces Black Front writes about and what common sense we arrive at four points. First, speak to the autocratic character of the dictatorship of Assad's imagination. With some effort, there is something to recognize a dream state into someone who calls himself 'fascist': an undemocratic and autocratic leadership and different population groups that are pressed into a mold to preserve social order and peace. Secondly Assad's secular regime. Assad therefore protecting, according to Black front, Europe as a kind of buffer against encroaching Muslim extremists. Thirdly, Assad enemy of United States, a clearly pre in the eyes of many right-wing extremists, waaronder KOLVE. The idea that the "David" Syria takes on the globalist aspirations of 'Goliath' the United States makes this endeavor sympathetic. Fourthly, there is the anti-Semitic element, Assad as presumed opponent of Israel.

This inspiration through the Rome-Ruben Rosiers route and the apparent connection of his own political views in the interests of Assad, Ritchie brought Kolvers a corridor to Syria. There he took part in a youth conference 21 tot en met 24 september 2015 in Damascus, which was organized by the Assad regime. The purpose of this conference was to share with the young people present information about "sponsored by the West against terrorism '. Kolvers made contacts there with extreme right-wing Italians and Greeks, French National Front, but also one of the British UKIP and North Korean students. After some days he returned to Nijmegen, to be there to use knowledge and contacts for his political activities in the Netherlands.
