After an earlier ban on demonstrations, Pegida / Fortress Europe organizes a demonstration in Enschede. This time will be announced by the German Nazi / hooligan band Category C, speakers as well as by Britain First!, AFD, Thugida, Finnish Defence League, Strength! and the Dutch Civic Party. The speakers from Britain First! however stopped by the British customs. The speaker of Forza! Belde of. One of the speakers was arrested for discrimination. Advance Voorpost Twente made propaganda for this demonstration.

Demonstration in Enschede, organized by Pegida Netherlands and Fortress Europe. German Nazi / hooligan Category C band announced it will play. Pegida mobilizes active in Germany, inter alia under HoGeSa-supporters. There are speakers announced by Britain First!, Pegida. The demonstration forbidden by the municipality of Enschede, because of the expected serious disruption of public order. The leadership and supporters Pegida ignores this prohibition. The leader of Pegida Netherlands, Edwin Wagensveld, being arrested. Attempts by Pegida to demonstrate in Enschede fail. A group Pegida supporters subsequently demonstrated in Hengelo. Then the protesters went to the arrested complex Borne where they demanded the release of Wagensveld.

Deputy mayor of Enschede 'Adolf’ call gets tail

The municipality of Enschede examine whether a statement of Pegida Netherlands frontman Edwin Wagensveld can be characterized as slander, sedition or defamation. “Let us not be a burgemeestertje who thinks the new Adolf, or whatever, put in our shirt”, said Wagensveld after deputy mayor Eelco Eerenberg demonstrations include Pegida and Fortress Europe forbade.

This sixth report Semitism, racism and right-wing extremist violence in Netherlands, reports on these facts in the year 2016, and developments with respect to previous years. The report has been made on behalf of Anne Frank. The Anne Frank Foundation manages the Anne Frank house and brings her life story to the attention to reflect on the dangers of anti-Semitism, racisme en discriminatie en het belang van vrijheid, equal rights and democracy. The Foundation does not give in, inter alia aim to provide information and educational activities about discrimination and human rights, to promote the proper functioning
