The scale of the protests against the corona measures has decreased, ‘but at the same time there is a risk that some in that movement will radicalize further’, says security service NCTV today.

IJMUIDEN – The Amsterdam police are investigating the behavior of Defend IJmuiden during the corona demonstration on Museumplein that got out of hand. The group has "misbehaved quite a bit," according to a spokesman. It is not the first time that the police are targeting the inhabitants of IJmuiden.
Banners with "I love Zwarte Piet."’ hung throughout IJmuiden
IJMUIDEN – Today banners with the text "I love Zwarte Piet" hung at various places in IJmuiden.. That text has also been sprayed on a number of buildings with graffiti. A group calling itself the ‘defenders IJmuiden’ Named hung the banners and sprayed the text on walls.
The municipality of Velsen removes the much-discussed Pieten banner on the viaduct
IJMUIDEN – During the course of the day, the municipality of Velsen will remove the much-discussed banner "Welcome Saint and Black Peter" that hangs on the viaduct at the Pontplein.. Public safety is at stake, according to Mayor Frank Dales, he tells NH News.
