new Goes, PVV and South Africa

On its website, the New Party Goes established himself last year, behalf of the potential voters, the question: “Is New Goes left or right?”. The personal answer of the game is that the program contains a mix of right and left views. They do not themselves “via the box thinking of the left or right” Organize and calls to see the citizens of their ideas without ideological glasses.

This is the fourth part of a series of short articles about the local elections 2018.

Even so, there in New Goes few people around who are involved in extreme right-wing initiatives. Most notable are taking party leader Vincent Mareels (1993) and candidate Steven Mareels (1996). Both young men were in 2015 namely candidate for the PVV in Zeeland. Four PVV MPs were elected, Mareels but both fell by the wayside. Steven Mareels still has found a place in the support of the States Group of the PVV. He is a citizen committee and is in the States Commission of Economy Zealand.

New Goes candidate Jan Menger (1996) has a more indirect link with the PVV. In May 2015 He spreads a photo where he stands with Martin Bosma of the Freedom Party during a meeting in The Hague. Bosma presents as his book about South Africa and Geert Wilders is the speaker at the meeting. Jan Menger is there and can be with Bosma and book immortalize. In the book, Martin Bosma wipes the floor with the progressive anti-apartheid activists who have protested against the racist system. They would have a Genocide with the support of the ANC. Jan Menger has much interest in South Africa and the whites who are still living there. He has in 2014 even an organization set up “Afrikanerhart” heet. With that he wants to stand up for the Afrikaner and Dutch culture and support Orania. With “Afrikaner culture” is not the “African culture” intended, but rather the culture of the white South Africans, the Africans. Some of them retreated to the village of Orania to remain as clear as possible live life. That is an initiative that aims to support John Menger happy and he visits them there too. Currently he is Secretary of the Orania Movement Europe. From the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany want this organization in setting up a support campaign for Orania. Johan Deckmyn (1967), the chairman of the city council of Vlaams Belang in Ghent, is one of the forces behind this.

Op 20 maart 2016 Jan Menger organized by far-right Dutch group Volksbelang a manifestation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague. It's about a “Joint action by Dutch Nationalists / Patriots / Activists and white South Africans living in the Netherlands”. They want to ask that attention to the position of whites in South Africa. Flags of the NCE or PVV are not allowed, because political parties. But the Dutch flag, the old Transvaal flag of South Africa, Prince flag and the flag of the fascist Black Front, supporting them, may be. On behalf of his Afrikaner Hart Jan Menger here one of the spokespersons. The rise is minimal, there are five to ten participants. In it, the notorious right-wing extremist Ben van der Kooi is additional to. Usually he appears on demonstrations of the NCE, Outpost or Pegida. On this day he goes with Jan Menger in the picture.

Other candidates New Goes

On the social media pages of other New Goes candidates are the activities of Jan Menger reflected. Candidate Martijn Vermeulen (1994) liket Mixers Afrikanerhart and candidate Ingrid Lyssens (1958) find Orania fun. In terms of Dutch politics both have also the Forum for Democracy and their youth organization JongerenFVD geliket. Steven Mareels leave his social media pages moreover know positive things to see in Pegida.

In the Party of New Goes are indeed both left and right views. Especially, there are also a lot of ideas and solutions to local problems and situations. Some right-wing points we can be lights out for example,: No priority status holders with rental properties, no large-scale asylum centers, tegen positieve discriminatie, abolish art subsidies and maintaining the Zeeland and Dutch culture. Yet the program across the board breathes no extreme right image out. There are also many progressive and local positions. But as is described in half of the ten candidates to find a link to far-right initiatives. This requires a critical examination of this party.
