De PVV tabled a motion in parliament headed by Geert Wilders. The party opposes the provision of a high amount by some municipalities for the contents of status holders. De PVV states that many Dutch people can no longer make ends meet due to the cutbacks, while asylum seekers live for free, care, receive education and household effects. The party argues that this is one “has a huge pull on fortune seekers” and therefore calls on the government to prohibit municipalities from giving status holders money for household effects and related matters.
