The only right party who has been booked electoral successes, the PVV, is regularly the scene of conflicts, scandals and divisions. How is it possible that politicians like Pim Fortuyn, Rita Verdonk and Geert Wilders to the general public got a huge popularity but were not able to build a stable party? They drew the wrong people, or was it to themselves?
Chris Aalberts and Dirk-Jan Keijser spoke to forty people directly involved with include the LPF, Proud of the Netherlands and the PVV. This provides a unique insight into how these parties were built, how the leadership to bring these parties tried to success, who were active, where these parties were content for and how a number of parties came to an end. This reconstruction of new parties to the right of the political spectrum provides many lessons on how not to create a political party.
