"Friendly" protest action by Zwarte Pieten in Baarn; grim demonstrations in the rest of the country

Members of the national Zwarte Pieten Action group distributed gingerbread cookies in Baarn. They received many positive reactions. Although the pitch-black make-up of the faces seemed rather creepy. There was also support on social media after a tweet from proponents of the traditional outfit, which also met with great resistance in society.
