Founder Pegida must pay fine for inciting hatred
Lutz Bachmann, founder and former leader of Pegida in Germany, Tuesday convicted by a court in Dresden to pay 9.600 euros for inciting hatred against migrants. The leader of the Islam-critical movement had 2014 Facebook war refugees denounced as "cattle" and "dirty". The defense of Bachmann denied that these were decisions of the Pegida-header. There was a politically motivated trial and justice but only served to bring further discredit Bachmann. The prosecutor had demanded seven months in prison in this case.
